Ready, Set, Match! Local Family Commits to Matching $25,000 in Donations For Autism Services

Donors Scott and Kelly Trueman believe that all families, regardless of income, should have access to the life-changing services provided at UCSB’s Koegel Autism Center. To further this vision, the Trueman’s have generously pledged to match up to $25,000 in gifts to the Koegel Autism Center until the end of April.

Two Generations of Caring Clinical Psychologists

Twenty-five years ago, Elizabeth Cortez became the first in her family to earn an advanced degree when she graduated with a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the GGSE. Now, her daughter, Juliana Ison, is following in her footsteps. That's Juliana in Elizabeth's arms at the 1997 commencement, alongside Acting Dean Emeritus Dr. Merith Cosden, above.

This symposium seeks to provide a space for scholars from all backgrounds to discuss how we can make educational spaces a more equitable learning environment for all.
