UCSB Affiliates News

June 2026

Dear UCSB Affiliates,

As the academic year draws to a close and UC Santa Barbara prepares to celebrate the graduating Class of 2026, we want to thank our wonderful community for a packed spring season of connection, learning, and celebration. Especially for those who joined us at our Annual Awards Luncheon, thank you for sharing in such a deeply moving afternoon, where our incredible student recipients inspired the audience with their powerful stories and speeches.

While the campus winds down for the summer, there are still plenty of ways to stay connected with UCSB over the next few months. Keep an eye out for upcoming summer events, including the illuminating GRIT Talks at Campbell Hall and the next installment of our debate series with NCEAS in July!

We are also already gearing up for an exciting 2026–2027 academic year. Your feedback is incredibly valuable to us. We invite you to take a few moments to complete our brief Community Engagement Survey to help our board plan next year's events, lectures, and community programming.

Until next time,

The UC Santa Barbara Affiliates Board
