Jules Zimmer Dean's Chair Jeffrey Milem has been elected to the prestigious National Academy of Education (NAEd). As an honorific society, the Academy consists of U.S. members and international associates—fewer than 300 professors worldwide—who are elected on the basis of outstanding scholarship related to education.

A Big Hand Preparing the Teachers California Needs

A recent $950,000 Teacher Residency Implementation Grant to the Santa Barbara County Education Office (SBCEO) and the Gevirtz School will fund 35-40 graduate students this coming school year. This grant will support students in designated shortage teaching fields, such as Special Education, Bilingual Authorization, and Single Subject in a STEM Area.

2023 GGSE Research Symposium
